The iconic Genevan theatre is now managing its productions, planning, contracts and staff scheduling with #DIESE.

The Genevans are about to take up with their Grand Théâtre de Genève again. After three seasons of intense renovation works, the performances are moving back in their downtown, 140-year-old building. The curtain will go up for Wagner’s « Das Rheingold » on next 12th February.

These three-year-long step back has been an opportunity to rethink how the planning was made, and how space and activities were managed. #DIESE software has been chosen to support this project, which was characterised by a wide scope, demanding processes and an intense activity. Indeed, the curtain rises a hundred times each year in this major opera and dance house. The Grand Théâtre de Genève employs more than 300 permanent staff per season and around the same number of casual workers.

Since the end of the summer, the Grand Théâtre de Genève manages all their activity planning within the system. They also administrate artistic productions, works and casting together with a database of contacts. Last but not least, contracts are made in the software for all their staff, whom are individually scheduled in #DIESE’s dedicated module.

Our collaboration with Grand Théâtre de Genève carries on as we start implementing 3 more modules: the inventory tool, the purchase orders administration system, and the budgeting module – which values all activities recorded in #DIESE sin the form of contracts, orders, etc.
