The historical theatre built in the XVIIIth century welcomes visitors during the day and an opera audience at night.

Nestled in the beautiful park of the royal castle, a few kilometres away from Stockholm, Drottningholms Slottsteater awaits families as well as opera enthusiasts. Guides in costumes cross paths with technicians on their way backstage, while artists rehearse in the pavilions. Who goes backstage at some point, who must welcome a group in front of the castle, who needs the theatre to stay open until a certain time: the information needs be available for all the professionals, especially those in charge of the access and security on the premises.

In 2018, the theatre team has chosen #DIESE as their integrated planning tool for the multiple activities of the house. But not only does the system host the general planning; technicians for the theatre are individually scheduled in the system, and can view their schedule and confirm – or correct – the worked hours in #DIESE’s employee portal myDiese. The resulting paid hours and overtime are then calculated by the system.

Front of house staff and guides are also scheduled in the software, with their own scheduling rules, alerts and pay elements. The artistic planning and individual schedules for artists can be found in #DIESE too. And all these categories of staff will soon have their paper contract automatically generated by the system.

Guided tours, known to be particularly lively and incarnate, play a central part in Drottningholms Slottsteater’s activity. Be they regular or theme tours, many are booked by groups, and group booking requires a thorough application of tariffs, and the editing and management of various documents such as quotations or invoices. #DIESE’s ‘sales’ module is thus being implemented in the theatre, and 2020 should see the completion of the project.
